Energypac Agro Ltd. has entered in to its 5th year of journey in the agricultural sector on 1st February, 2010. On this occasion a reunion ceremony was organized at EAL R&D station at Hotapara, Gazipur. About 35 personnel of EAL attended the ceremony. EAL’s Senior Vice President, Dr. S B Naseem inaugurated the ceremony by cutting a cake. After the inauguration the participants visited research fields of different crops.

Some advanced lines of Bottle gourd, Country bean and Tomato looked very promising and selected for future propagation. It may be mentioned here that one hybrid tomato variety named “Salamat”, developed by EAL researchers is already in the demonstration field in Gopalgonj, Rangpur & other areas and attracted local farmers. The fruits of Salamat are uniform in size and farm even after ripening. With the expectation of high demand of Salamat during next season EAL production team has undertaken a program to produce enough seed to satisfy farmer’s demand. The ceremony was ended with a working lunch when Dr Naseem thanked the participants for their active participation and wished greater successes for EAL in the forthcoming years.
